Finding Funding For Women-Owned Businesses....
Good funding resources - whether for loans, grants or other types of business funding - for a woman business owner, a woman starting a new business, or a woman entrepreneur -- are few and far between. Truly -- free business grants for woman owned businesses or start-ups are rare. Certainly not impossible, but they’re hard to find. SBA loans for women businesses are an option, as are bank loans. The drawback is that they usually require putting up collateral that we don't want to risk....
But there is good news in finding funding for a woman business owner or woman entrepreneur! WomensNet.net is here to help you succeed in starting, building and running a successful business.
It all began many years ago when WomensNet.net launched the Amber Grants for Women, in memory of the founder's younger sister, Amber. She was the epitome of the woman entrepreneur - strong, resourceful and always willing to help others. And there is no doubt in my mind that Amber would have been very successful - if she had only had the chance. Through the Amber Grants for Women we try to give others the chance she never had. This is a free grant that we give out quarterly. There are no application fees, no hidden fees, not strings attached. It’s free money for women business owners.
We’re also thrilled to announce that award-winning and nationally-renowned business author Marcia Layton-Turner has become part of WomensNet.net community. Marcia’s work has appeared in BusinessWeek, Woman’s Day, Entrepreneur, Black Enterprise, as well as Wealth Manager to name just a few. She is a former business plan writer and marketing consultant.
She has also authored, co-authored, or ghostwritten more than 20 nonfiction books, including The Unofficial Guide to Marketing Your Small Business, which was a recent APEX Award Winner, The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Starting Your Own Business, a bestseller, and How to Think Like the World’s Greatest Marketing Minds.
And now, Marcia has created an EXCLUSIVE special report only for WomensNet.net members, Beyond Grants – 8 Super Ideas to Get Money for Your Business. If you’re serious about getting money for your woman-owned business, you can’t sit around and hope for a grant that might never come. Please check out this resource to uncover step-by-step techniques to make your business dreams come true!
Of course, getting funding for your business is only part of the challenge. You’re also probably building your web site, writing press releases, juggling the books, and oh, yeah - maybe make a sale or two, & find a few clients - it's all in day's work when you are a woman business owner
Whether you are an experienced woman entrepreneur, a new business owner, or somewhere in between - you will find lots of helpful resources here, from grants for women business owners to detailed practical help with marketing, advertising, accounting and the thousand other "little" details that go into being an entrepreneur and business owner!
WomensNet.Net (aka WNN) is “home base” for the network. Bookmark this page as this is where you will find a listing of current content and resources, and it will always be the central and easiest starting point to use.
WNN is divided into several content “channels”, all listed in the left hand menu on each page. Each section is stand-alone topical resource, of relevant articles, recommended books and favorite websites.
WomensNet Online! is the community side of the network. Here you will find topical business success stories and advice on a wide variety of topics. Our new networking system will let you invite friends and business contacts to join - and allow you to network with the friends and contact of other members as well. Look for WNN CEO Advice this Fall.
Take some time to explore the entire network - and send us your thoughts! We fully intend to make this a one-of-a-kind resource for networking with other women business owners, and entrepreneurs/netrepreneurs - but we cannot do it without your input!
