Entrepreneur
http://www.entrepreneur.com

This is really a stand alone from the magazine, with a number of tools and
resources that you won't find in the hard copy. Most interesting are the start-up
ideas, as well as good overviews on many "biz opps" and home-based franchises

Inc.com
http://www.inc.com/guides/start_biz
Inc Magazine's site has one of the best and most comprehensive step by step
tutorials on writing a business plan that I have ever seen. It gives you not only
what it should contain but WHY - which makes it much easier to tailor to YOUR
needs than the templates you usually find online. Be sure to check the "How To"
and "Tools" links as well!

Small Business Administration's Starting A Business Center
http://www.sba.gov/starting_business/
SBA's Online Women's Business Center
http://www.onlinewbc.gov/
These two government sites have a wealth of free resources to offer, from loan details to free online counseling. Best resources: 60 sample business plans and the online classes at the WBC

CCH Business Owners Toolkit
http://www.toolkit.cch.com/
This site has been around for years and is still one of
the best resources for forms and basic biz advice online. Whether it's formatting
a business plan, or setting up your accounting system - this should be your first
stop.

StartUp Journal
The Walll Street Journal Center for Entrepreneurs

http://www.startupjournal.com/columnists/
The WSJ brings the same depth of reporting style to this new "sister" pub, which
focuses strictly on new businesses. It's a good mix of brick & mortar and internet
and a high percentage of stories are about us home-based people. Good reading -
both for info and inspiration!

FindForms.com
http://www.findforms.com/
UrgentBusinessForms.com
http://www.urgentbusinessforms.com/
Just in case you didn't find the right form at CCH - two more sites with a wide
variety of legal and everyday business forms to use.

MyWorkTools.com
http://www.myworktools.com
This site was supposedly created to help the "overworked" corp employee
whose boss makes unrealistic demands by not providing the necessary forms,
guidelines, etc to get assigned tasks done in the required timeframe. Well, if
you are self-employed, I am willing to bet that your current "boss" is more
demanding than anyone you had in the corporate worldhttp://www.womensnet.nethttp://www.womensnet.net.so here is a great
place to buy (VERY cheaply) many time saving forms and documents that you
would otherwise have to create from scratchhttp://www.womensnet.nethttp://www.womensnet.netand we all know how daunting
that blank computer screen can be at times.

Nolo.com
ttp://www.nolo.com/
By now most people are familiar with the folks at Nolo - but we list them here just
in case there is someone that still doesn't know about them! This is without a
doubt the most reliable and affordable source of self-help legal advice online. You
can find info here on everything from business law to divorce, and at a price that
makes it easy for you to get the advice you need now - to save money later!
